Department of War PURSUE Release 04

On July 10, 2026, the Department of War announced the fourth release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). The announcement says the collection remains housed on WAR.GOV/UFO and that additional files will be released on a rolling basis.¹

  Release 04 record set

The official PURSUE manifest lists 40 Release 04 records: 14 PDF documents, 19 videos, 3 images, and 4 audio files. It identifies entries from the Department of War, Department of Energy, NASA, CIA, and FBI.² The WAR.GOV release page provides the Release 04 database, filters for agency and file type, and links to the release downloads.³

  Record assets

The manifest names records including the Los Alamos conference transcript, a Pantex incident report, the Project Sign progress report, CIA memoranda, FBI correspondence, and three STS-80 images. The corresponding WAR.GOV record assets include the direct files listed in the references.²⁴

  Scope and limits

The announcement documents the publication event, while the manifest supplies record-level titles, agencies, dates, locations, and media types. Those release sources establish that the files were published; they do not, by themselves, establish the identity or origin of any reported phenomenon.¹²
