DOW-UAP-PR098 is a Department of War video record released in PURSUE Release 02 on May 22, 2026. The Department of War lists the contributing agency as the Department of War and places the incident location within the United States Central Command area of responsibility; no incident date is recorded for this entry.12
House Request Provenance
On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network and cautions that many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.
AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is "UFOs in formation over Persian Gulf?", is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the CENTCOM area of responsibility. A user uploaded the video to a classified network in October 2019. DVIDS hosts the matching public video entry and a direct MP4 rendition of the clip.34
What The Clip Shows
The AARO description gives the duration as 17 minutes 36 seconds. An area of contrast becomes visible and the sensor pans to track it in the center of the field-of-view; on zoom-in it resolves into multiple distinct areas of contrast. The sensor zooms in and out repeatedly to maintain track. For long stretches the area of contrast is at times indistinguishable from the grain of the video, with the sensor making several contrast adjustments to compensate. The area repeatedly exits and enters the frame before a closing segment of no content.
What The Record Supports
AARO states that the description is provided for informational purposes only and that readers should not interpret any part of it as an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination regarding the event's validity, nature, or significance. The uploader's "in formation" framing is not an AARO finding. PR098 preserves a 17-minute 36-second infrared sensor clip and its classified-network upload history, with an unsubstantiated chain-of-custody. The record does not identify the areas of contrast or establish that they constitute a formation of discrete objects.
