The Department declassified and released the document for the first time as part of PURSUE Release 04 on July 10, 2026. It consists of 20 seconds of infrared video recorded from a sensor aboard a civilian aircraft in 2019. An accompanying Range Fouler Debrief, DOW-UAP-D090, quotes the observer describing flight characteristics \"unlike anything [the observer] had seen in 28 years [of service] for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.\" The debrief describes the object as \"small\" and \"travelling in a straight line [in the] opposite direction at high speed.\"[^3][^4]\n\nThe agency's video description breaks the footage into three segments:[^3][^4]\n\n- 00:01-00:11: An area of contrast is visible near the center of the screen.\n- 00:12-00:14: The sensor changes its zoom level and display mode, flashing white before returning to normal function. The area of contrast exits the sensor's field of view to the left side of the frame.\n- 00:15-00:20: The sensor changes settings, causing the screen to flash white. No content is visible.\n\n*This video description is provided for informational purposes only. Readers should not interpret any part of this description as reflecting an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination regarding the described event's validity, nature, or significance.*[^3][^4]\n\n## What the Record Supports\n\nThe video shows a brief infrared track of a small, fast-moving object before sensor changes obscure the frame. The case remains unresolved: AARO's release does not identify the object or rule out conventional explanations.[^3][^4]\n\n## References\n\n[^1]: [Department of War PURSUE page](https://www.war.gov/UFO/#release)\n[^2]: [Department of War PURSUE data file (uap-data.csv)](https://www.war.gov/Portals/1/Interactive/2026/UFO/uap-data.csv)\n[^3]: [DOW-UAP-PR112, Unresolved UAP Report, Eastern United States, 2019 DVIDS page](https://www.dvidshub.net/video/1014128)\n[^4]: [DOW-UAP-PR112, Unresolved UAP Report, Eastern United States, 2019 MP4](https://d34w7g4gy10iej.cloudfront.net/video/2607/DOD_111830201/DOD_111830201.mp4)","readingTime":"2 min read"},"relatedRecords":[],"citation":{"canonicalUrl":"https://disclosdex.com/documents/2026-pursue-release-04-033-dow-uap-pr112-unresolved-uap-report-eastern-united-states-2019","title":"DOW-UAP-PR112, Unresolved UAP Report, Eastern United States, 2019","publisher":"Disclosdex","retrievedFrom":"https://disclosdex.com/api/v1/documents/2026-pursue-release-04-033-dow-uap-pr112-unresolved-uap-report-eastern-united-states-2019","license":"CC-BY-4.0"}}
